I am a shapeshifter who works in paint. I shift the way people view reality.
I awaken interior memories about the earth and expose buried mystical longings.
I work with the myths of the Western world to uncover the psychic roots of our culture.

I have a tangible, tactile approach to painting, to life. I want to feel, taste, know the world I am engulfed by. My paintings emerge from a pulsing, vibrating space that mirrors life around me.
In order to paint, I go into an altered state, a state beyond words so that I can become the flow of the earth and transfer her mysteries onto the canvas. I never know what I am going to paint each time I approach the canvas. I work to get out of the way, to just allow the painting to grow and build on the canvas and reveal itself to me through the many layers and weeks, often months of work.
Sometimes, in order to get a sense of where the painting is going, I want to freeze it in a certain configuration---it’s great I think and I am done. But then something new bursts forth from the painting and it begins to shift and reform itself on the canvas anew.
Later, when I look at the finished painting, I realize that they are memories of forgotten times in human history. When people look at the paintings, they often experience what I do when I paint them, something cracks open within themselves and they experience a fresh linkage with a part of themselves that has been hidden just beyond view.
