I always dreamed of being an anthropologist.  Anthropology explores the structures that form society, the myths that run across all cultures.  I studied with my mentors Margaret Mead and briefly with Levi Strauss.

After a class, The Point Where Art, Language, Literature and Philosophy Intersect, I began to draw, and received a 5th year degree (1st year Studio Masters) from the

School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston in 1990.

I paint using chi gung meditations throughout the day.  I find that using chi gung, achieving a state of flow, gives me great freedom when I paint.  I teach my students how to paint from this expanded state of flow as well.

I have two children and live and work in the Boston area.
